Job Description:

Children's Home Registered Manager
Near Newmarket / East Cambridge
Salary up to £65,000, plus annual bonus incentives

Most Registered Manager adverts make the role sound far cleaner than it is.

This one won't.

You'll be leading a small, specialist children's home supporting young people aged 12 to 18 with complex mental health needs.

So it needs someone who understands the reality of children's residential care.

The Pressure.
Judgement calls.
The emotional weight.
The importance of a steady team.
The difference it makes when a home feels calm, safe and properly led.

It's not a volume led setting.

That's probably the most important thing to know.

Your leadership will be visible. The culture you build will be vital. The team you shape will have genuine impact on those they support and the way you hold standards will be decisive in the success of the site.

You'll have autonomy over the home, but you won't be expected to do it in isolation. There is clinical and education support around the young people, and the wider backing of a larger organisation if you want structure, development and a longer term route to grow.

The package is strong.

But I don't think money will be the only reason someone considers it.

You'll need children's residential experience, the ability to register with Ofsted, Level 3 as a minimum, and ideally Level 5 or a willingness to work towards it.

It won't be right for everyone.

But if you're an experienced children's residential leader near Newmarket, East Cambridge or Suffolk, and you're open to understanding the role properly, apply and let's have a quick confidential conversation.
