Part time, Chelmsford

Part time Family Therapist roles are harder to find than they should be.

Especially ones where the part time nature actually makes sense alongside private practice, family life, portfolio work, or whatever else you're balancing.

I'm recruiting for a Family Therapist in Chelmsford, working with young people in a CAMHS inpatient setting.

It's 30 hours per week, so it could suit someone who wants a meaningful employed role without necessarily giving up everything else they do.

The full time equivalent salary for this post is up to £52,000

This isn't a generic therapy position.

It needs a properly qualified Family Therapist who understands systemic work, complexity, risk, family dynamics, and the reality of supporting young people in a more intensive mental health setting.

The clinical work here has huge implications and genuinely changes lives.

But so does the wider MDT work. Helping people understand context. Holding complexity. Bringing a family and systemic lens into conversations that can otherwise become very individualised, very quickly.

You'll need the right training and registration background for Family Therapy (Masters degree, AFT and UKCP registration). This is not simply family work within another therapy discipline.

It won't suit everyone.
